In Bandarban, Debotakhum is called the king of all Khum. To the locals it's “ Sonakhum ” and  numerous also call it “ Thanchikhum ” in Marma language. According to the locals, this Khum is about 50- 60  bases deep & 600 feet long which is  considerably bigger than Velakhum and much  further wild.  How was Devtakhum named? Although the name is Devtakhum, no  hero ( statue of God) of the Hindu Community is  set up then. This place has a story also behind the name. And the name was taken by the  lineage people.   It's known from the  native locals then. According to them, there's a huge tortoise or an unnamed beast live in this Khum.
