The Lalakhal River is a really pretty place in Bangladesh. It's part of a bigger river called Sari/Sharee River. The water in Lalakhal River looks super special because it's a mix of green and blue colors.

Lalakhal is a beautiful place in northeastern Bangladesh near the Indian state of Meghalaya. In the winter, the Sari/Sharee River from India flows into Lalakhal and turns a magical shade of blue for about 12km before joining another river.

You can see the pretty part of the river from different places. You can stop and look when you drive on the Sarighat Bridge on the N2 road to Sylhet. Or you can walk along the river and see some nice views near the Lalakhal ferry stop. But the most fun way to see it is by taking a boat ride for a beautiful trip.

You can take a boat from either Sarighat or Lalakhal. The boats in Sarighat go up the river towards the India border and it takes about 1-1.5 hours. If you are from another country, you will have to pay a lot of money for this trip.

We were at a special place called Nazimgarh Wilderness Resort in Lalakhal. We decided to go on a boat ride in the afternoon from the Lalakhal ferry terminal. The boats there are very colorful and are called 'noka'. The people who drive the boats are called 'nokawallahs' and they like to bargain for the price. Since we were with local friends, we didn't have to negotiate. But when the boat drivers saw us, they probably raised the price because we were tourists from another country!

We went on a boat ride on a pretty river and saw the water change colors from blue to green. Our guide told us that the colors were caused by the coal, sand, and rocks in the river bed.

We were traveling by the Lalakhal River and saw a tea plantation nearby. On the riverbank, we saw women washing their clothes in the river. They were wearing bright clothes and some of them looked at us with curiosity while others waved at us in a friendly way.

We went to wash clothes in the Lalakhal River in Bangladesh. We went all the way to the Indian border, where there were soldiers with guns. Then we came back as the sun was setting, and the water looked less blue. A local family came up to us and asked to take a picture together. They were friendly and we talked about our trip in Bangladesh.

The next day, we went for a walk from our hotel to the river. We followed a small path and walked around a dry field to get there. The water looked really pretty as the sun started to come out. It was almost the end of the dry season, so we could walk along the riverbank easily. Soon, the water would rise and the color would change.

We went to Lalakhal River in Bangladesh and some kids were surprised to see us there. They followed us around and we enjoyed watching the local people doing their daily activities and smiling at us as we walked by.

There is a boy and a lady by a river called Lalakhal in Bangladesh. It's important to know when to visit the river if you want to see its beautiful turquoise color. If you go at the wrong time, you won't see it and you'll be sad.

The best time to visit the Lalakhal River is in the winter when it's not raining a lot. This is when the river looks really pretty with different colors. Sometimes, if it hasn't rained much in other seasons, you might still see the beautiful colors. But it's not guaranteed, so you have to be lucky.

During the rainy season from June to October, the river looks very different because it gets a lot of water from the Jainta hills, which are one of the rainiest places on earth. The river becomes very full and flows quickly with muddy water for most of the year.

Most people only visit Sylhet for a day, but we got to stay overnight. We stayed at a place called Nazimgarh Wilderness Resort, which was in a really good spot to explore the Lalakhal area. The resort is in a tropical forest with hills all around. And they even have a really cool pool to swim in, although it's a bit cold.

At the resort, there is a special place where you can see how beautiful the area looks. You can see the Lalakhal River and the Meghalaya hills in the distance. It's the perfect spot to enjoy the pretty Lalakhal view.

To go to the Lalakhal River, most people come from Sylhet and go through Sarighat. We went from Dhaka through Shumshernugger Tea Estate by car.

You can take a bus from Sylhet to Surighat, which is 42km away, for a small price of TK40-60 (less than $1USD). The bus will also take you to Jaflong, where you can then take a boat ride on the Lalakhal River. As a visitor, you may need to pay TK1500-TK2000 for the boat ride.

We took a plane from Sylhet to Dhaka at the Osmani Airport. You could also drive, take a train, or book a trip with a tour company to get there.

In short, we had a great time exploring Bangladesh and discovering the Lalakhal River. It was beautiful and surprising to find such hidden treasures in the country known for its contrasts.
