This list of the best cities in Italy includes some popular ones and also some hidden treasures that not many people know about. It's not a complete list, but it's a good place to start if you're new to Italy and want some ideas of where to go.

Venice is undeniably one of the top destinations in Italy for first-time travelers. Despite being pricier than other Italian cities, it is considered a must-visit for its unique charm and beauty.

With countless other stunning attractions to visit, you'll find yourself overwhelmed with options. It's recommended to dedicate a substantial amount of time to fully immerse yourself in all that Rome has to offer; we personally spent five days in the city and still felt like we barely scratched the surface of what we wanted to see.

Furthermore, for those who have a passion for food and enjoy exploring culinary delights, it is highly recommended to venture into the lesser-known side streets rather than sticking to the popular tourist spots. In these hidden gems, you are likely to find more affordable prices and higher quality food options that will satisfy your taste buds and provide a more authentic dining experience.

Upon exploring the area further, I discovered that venturing just a mere 10 minutes away from the popular tourist destinations led me to a plethora of charming and delectable dining establishments. What truly amazed me was not only the cozy atmosphere and delectable cuisine these hidden gems offered, but also the remarkably affordable prices they boasted in comparison to the overpriced tourist traps that saturate the vicinity of the main attractions.
