History of the Rose Garden Palace
The Rose Garden Palace was erected by a Hindu zamindar Hrishikesh Das in the late 19th century. Around that time jalsas( parties) held at Baldha Garden were an important part of the social life of the megacity's fat Hindu residers. The story goes that Hrishikesh, a zamindar of lower estate background, being disrespected on this account by someone at one of the jalsas at Baldha Garden, decided to produce his own theater to outmatch that of Baldha. Then he offered jalsas of his own. The centerpiece of the theater is an elegant kiosk. still, this wasn't created as a hearthstone, but rather a setting for entertainment similar as musical performances( although posterior possessors did use it as a house). This extravagant life caused Hrikesh to go void and he was forced to vend the property. The palace was bought by Khan Bahadur Kazi Abdur Rashid from Hrikesh in 1936 and renamed the structure Rashid Manzil. His eldest son Kazi Mohammed Bashir( Humayun) carried his name and fame until this generation. The structure had been repaired by its former possessors while keeping the original character completely maintained. The Government bought the structure for ৳331.7 crore in a purchase blazoned on 9 August 2018. The government has since blazoned plans to turn the position into a gallery
