Amiakhum Waterfall

Amiyakhum Waterfall is the most beautiful cascade in Bangladesh. This Waterfall looks a bit like Nafakhum Waterfall. This cascade is located in one of the most far- way area in Bandarban. This cascade is  positioned at a remote area called Naksiyam of Thanchi upazila under extraordinary  quarter Bandarban ( Hill District in Bangladesh). Amiakhum is near to Bangladesh Myanmar Border.   

Why do  youthful  trippers visit Amiakhum cascade?  

Youthful  trippers visit this cascade at least  formerly in their life. No agreement can be  set up in the vicinity located in a  veritably wild  terrain. The sluice is coming down with great speed through the hills  girdled by wild  jewels & hilly  timber. This Waterfall near the Bangladesh- Myanmar border is observed as the paradise of Bandarban. One of the natural treasures of Bengal is the beauty of Bandarban, among which excursionists from different  corridor of the country flock to see the beauty of Amiakhum  nearly all time round. Amiakhum Falls, located on the Bangladesh- Myanmar border, is seen as the paradise of Bengal. According to some, it's the most beautiful cascade in Bangladesh. 

It's located at a remote place called Nakshiyang in Thanchi upazila of Bandarban. In the  stormy season, the beauty of Amiakhum regains its  wholeness. Admitting  numerous  rigors, facing Amiakhum in the midst of the attainability of the mountain is like a just immolation! This cascade takes different forms in six seasons! A  ocean of Awater in the  stormy season and clear blue water like glass in the downtime.

What's Khum?

Khum is a Marma word. The main meaning of which is cascade or khum is the place where a lot of water falls from above creating huge holes and there's always water. The shower  generally dries up. Khum water may  drop or increase but it doesn't dry out at all. And fish is available in all khumei.

Where is Amiakhum Falls located?

 Amiakhum Falls is located in Thanchi, Bandarban, a land of natural beauty. This cascade is in inapproachable area. Although it was known to the small ethnical groups in the vicinity, it was unknown to the people of the outside world. The affluence of excursionists started after 2000 announcement. Indeed  also, too  numerous excursionists don't want to come to Amiakhum due to the attainability of the road. Indeed  also, about  knockouts of thousands of excursionists visit Amiakhum every time.

How to see the cascade of Amiakhum?

To see this cascade, one has to travel about 69 km from Bandarban by  machine or jeep to Thanchi. Tindu Union is located about 13 km from Thanchi Upazila Sadar. The swash Sangu flows between these two places. The distance from Tindu Union to Remakri Union is 9 km. In this Remakri the Remakri  conduit joins the Sangu swash as a  influent and flows towards Thanchi. For this reason, if you want to reach Remkri by water from Thanchi, you have to come upstream. Again the Remakri  conduit coming from Nafakhum cascade flows  down and falls into Remakri cascade. So if you want to go from Remakri to Nafakhum cascade, you have to go upstream along Remakri  conduit. also walk for3/4 hours towards the Myanmar border and reach Sajiapara. After walking for about three and a half hours, we came across Amiakhum cascade.

As soon as you go up a little from then, you start a rocky road decorated with  numerous  monuments, big and small. After crossing the road  veritably precisely, you'll come across a huge rocky hill with a green, calm and clear sluice in between. And Sat Vai Khum starts from then. numerous also call it Velakhum. The coming path will be by bamboo raft. After embarking on the raft, you'll feel as if you have suddenly entered a rocky  stronghold. This time it's just a matter of being speechless and looking with surprised eyes. And at the same time you'll feel that the rocky mountains that touch the sky on both sides are drinking  you in the green  timber with solemnity. The  timber is embracing you in the area and the green clear aqueducts are giving you a warm  hello. Although all analogies are used to describe the beauty of Sat Vai Khum,  maybe the description of its beauty will be stingy. On the way back from the green  timbers of Sat Vai Khum, the aqueducts, the mountain passes and the rocky mountain area, your companion will have a great feeling of a rugged, inapproachable and terribly thrilling  trip.
